A brand new squad-based arena shooter from Ubisoft.

Beta starts August 5, 2021. My first impression is a cross between Halo and Overwatch. Am I right? I don’t know, I have only seen the trailer. You have specialized jobs and classes that fight against other group on the opposing side. The maps look cool and the character design looks well done. Ubisoft has been trying to get something like this going - with what looks like The District engine - for a long time. Rainbow 6 did very well for them, but those close quarters swat combat games aren’t really my thing.

Just when you thought you’ve seen the last of those stinkin’ Rabbids!

I played the first one and I love it. Mario has a gun! Their first one had a great mix of Nintendo and Ubisoft. I guess it would be easy to make a quick sequel to this game and just say they’re in space and we got another baddie to hunt down. Doesn’t matter to me, I love the strategy.

They had me at the world map.

Almost every game Ubisoft showed today was going to have a beta you could register for. You can definitely try it before you buy it with most of these titles.  That is probably a good thing since nothing really stood out for me here.  I was hoping to see something new that I could be excited for, but that didn’t happen.  I was looking forward to seeing Skull and Bones, but that game looked unfinished and not at all fun.  The best looking game was Beyond Good and Evil 2, buuuuuut even in the gameplay clips of this game it looks just like every other action beat ‘em up.  Around 6:35 you can see the combat.

Here’s the entire clip from the press conference for Beyond Good and Evil 2.

The oft-delayed title gets a new target

Watch the "Farting Vigilante" trailer!

South Park: The Fractured But Whole has been delayed several times already and had recently been listed as TBA 2017. Well, now we have the announcement, the game will release on October 17, 2017 (we hope it's for real this time).
