Anyone else stoked for this? I rarely play RDR now , but it's still one of my favorites and the DLC sounds great. Personally Nekoti Rock, Cochinay and Pike's Basin sound like a blast for a structured MP game (would usually just be people shooting each other during Gang Hideouts). As far as characters go, it's nice that some of these guys are getting justice. Landon Ricketts and Nastas are favorites for sure. How do you guys feel about the upcoming DLC, is it enough for you? Any other maps you would like to see added?
Also Rockstar recently added some sweet screenshots of the upcoming pack, enjoy.

New trailers uploaded this morning, think you know who they are?
I don't really play Tekken but the gloves and colors in the first video for sure seem like Lili. The boots in the second one are a dead giveaway for Gief. Anyone have any other ideas? Unfortunately I really have no interest in these characters so this reveal was really dull for me. Still waiting on Juri and Elena ;) What do you guys think of the new teasers and who do you still want in?

See what the SSX franchise has to offer as pre-order bonus.
SSX Deadly Descents still isn't due till January 2012, but that doesn't stop them from announcing super early pre-orders. First off, we have the divided retailer bonuses. Pre Order from:
Origin- receive Elise’s Elite snowboard and a bonus boost.
Best-Buy - receive Zoe’s Elite snowboard and a bonus boost
Wallmart- receive Kaori’s Elite snowboard and a bonus boost
But that's not it, every pre-order comes with the character Eddie Wachowski, his elite board and a boost!
A long with most of the cast, he got a HUGE makeover.
As excited as I was to hear that there will be some sort of bonus, it also feels pretty lame. Eddie (who is usually a regular character) will be a Legendary Rider, meaning he is un-lockable. Also Legendary Boards were a pain to get, even just for one rider, but that is what kept up a lot of the motivation to play and earn more stuff. Not sure what the bonus boost is, but pre-ordering for an un-lockable character and a super-board that isn't really necessary....feels a bit lackluster.
Well, what do you guys think?

Pictures from story mode show some old challengers...
Enough hype has been around the home version of KOF 13 having 3 more characters than the arcade (95 iori, Billy and Saiki). Images from the new build show us old characters like Heidern, BlueMary and Vanessa. Also the team select screen during Ash's story shows 2 empty team slots. Also the prolouge picture shows a some older characters including Kagura. What could this mean for returning characters? Saiki, Iori and Billy ofcourse wouldn't be on a team, those characters are most likely to be solo , unless Yamazaki and others were brought back. Check out the images below and let us know what you think.

Kof 13 has gone through many changes since the arcade version, have a look at possible home "re-balances"
Kof13 original arcade version was extremely broken. After a couple of patches the game seemed alright (except for Raiden dropkicks...). With all the hype around the console release, it was said that the game will have re-balancing. Fortunately at Evo, a new KOF build was there which has alot of changes from the arcade. Most noteworthy is Raiden's dropkicks got nerfed but K"(possibly the best character in the game) got a buff.....Anyways, check out Kane317's notes and see what has changed :D
Neomax in HD costs 2 stocks but 3 stocks outside of HD.
-Liz’s midscreen, 1 stock no drive 511 damage combo now deals 391
-Shen’s gotten a slight damage decrease, I couldn’t quite figure out where but Kunio’s 799 (1 stock HD combo) now does 777
-Duo Lon’s Ex f.AC now has more hit stun (or better recovery for DL) so that he can do s.C or s.D (before it was a near 1 frame that allowed only for d.A, and if you’re close enough you can link that to s.C).
-Duo Lon’s NM has finally been normalized and now does 448 instead of his silly 400 he used to do. (Most characters are 450-500 in the arcade version).
-Maxima’s air vapor cannon now holds him in place for both version and then after he’s done he either goes forward or drops down (I forget), but not backwards.
-Maxima’s damage has been decreased slightly.
-Goro’s dp+K, [DC] hcf P seems to only work in the corner now (WHY?). His NM has been buffed to 571, yup!
-Kyo’s hcb+K is no longer safe, is also does not build much drive or meter if it connects. It seems only useful for combos from now on.
-Kyo has his air Ex Orochinagi
-All characters that we tested all had aerial Ex DMs like Mai.
-Kyo can do d.B, d.A, df.D [1hit], qcf+K midscreen now.
-Overall, hit hitboxes have been adjusted and it’s harder to cross characters up now. It was noticable as we couldn’t get K”s j.B or j.D to crossup.
-K”s hop no longer goes over a standing opponent.
-K”s second shell (qcf+P.f+B) now juggles opponent higher and when preceded by an Ex qcf+P, allows the second shell to hit twice, and hence combo into his qcf x2+P DM like in the RS trailer.
-Shen’s fully charged qcf+P now only removes 50% of the guard gauge.
-Mai has been buffed overall. Her air.d+B has faster recovery making it kinda safe, her air.qcb+P is also safer.
-Mai’s air DM now falls “natually” as she travels across the screen a la ’95 Mai’s hidden air DM.
-Mai’s air Ex DM also MaxCancels into NM.
-Mai’s Ex Ryuenbu has startup invincibility.
-Mai’s A Ryuenbu has a larger vertical hitbox acting like an anti air (assumingly it’s like her beta version).
-Terry has a d.A, d.C link which helps his hit confirmation a lot. Gave us an instant Fatal Fury “feel” to it.
-Takuma’s stun combo juggles are much harder to perform and the timing is real tight.
-Joe’s NM comes out FAST. Can pretty much punish air attacks on reaction.
-Joe’s NM when MC’d, will wait for the opponent to drop from the Screw Upper, automatically releasing it for you. It’s a damaging MC.
-Joe’s Ex DM travels across the screen now.
-Joe’s D Tiger Knee now has startup invincibility somewhat similar to XII but not as extreme. B version is faster but has no invincibility.
-Liz’s Ex DM now does no pushback on blocked opponents
-Liz’s Ex counter only allows followups with specials, not normals.
-Liz still can do the reset DM midscreen still (personally tested).
-Beni’s Ex Raijinken now holds the opponent in position allowing you to follow up. I believe CMD.Duc did (corner), Ex Raijinken (qcf+AC), A Raijinken, dp+K. Overall CDM.Duc says he’s been buffed.
-Ash’s Ex qcb+P now juggles even grounded opponents.
-Ryo’s dp+A seems faster, his parries are faster, and his Ex hcb+K seems faster.
-Andy’s d.D is slower now and no longer as abusable, it still can hit anti-air but seems to trade more now.
-Andy’s Zaneiken is safe on block now, but he’s also pushed back really far himself.
-Andy’s Ex hcf+K, d.D is harder to connect now mid screen.
-Raiden’s dropkicks have finally has its charge time increased. Despite initials reports, 1.1 did not change his charge time from 1.0. Personally, I must have charged ove 20+ seconds and I could not get level 3 to come out. If you land the DK midscreen, the opponent will fly away really far not allowing a follow up. His double DK shenanigans still work in the corner.
-King and Hwa Jai’s slide both cancel now by themselves.
-King’s NM has been fixed, it now goes further and when MC’d does full damage.
-Mature’s qcb+K has better recovery
-Ralf’s Vulcan Punch now knocks the opponent away after two hits.
-Clark, sadly, seems unchanged.
-Leona’s HD combos have been nerfed slightly.
-Kula’s corner juggles seem harder to connect..
Any of these characters you feel shouldn't have gotten nerfed/buffed? Leave your thoughts in a comment.

Phantasy Star Online 2 finally has new footage!
The Phantasy Star Online series has had a strong following through many years and several versions. PSO2 has easily been the most hyped and excited version announced. For a while all we had was one trailer showing cool stuff like jumping and aiming with guns. Finally some new stuff is released, and all of it is amazing.
Character Customization video
Awesome gameplay some new abilities

PSO fans, what do you think of this? The gun juggle looks insane and bosse can grab you O_O. The character customization has largely grown in terms of depth and some of the robots look like something straight from Evangelion. What are your impressions?

Comic Con B-Roll and other trailer show off new characters.
It's true that it was Dhalsim in the teaser trailer, and he is looking great. But a bigger suprise was Poison! Her slow fireball and then rushdown looks like amazing pressure. She can also combo into a command grab. Not much of Steve and Yoshimitsu are shown, but they look brutal. Check out the footage.

We got news of 12 new characters for UMVC3 and videos of 4...could this leak of the last 8 be real?
Strider, Firebrand, Ghost Rider, and Hawkeye have been legitimately announced for UMVC3. Those are the 4 of the 12 new characters. apparently on the Capcom website there was an accidental leak of the last 8 fighters. I'm a bit skeptical because some do look like MVC3 art, but still a bit off and akward. Have a look at Doctor Strange, Frank West, Iron Fist, Nemesis, Nova, Phoenix Wright, Rocket Raccoon and Vergil.
I can see all of these characters fitting well in the MVC3 world (Phoenix is a bit akward, but If Frank West can do it in TvC, anyone can!) Not too much of a RE fan, but Nemisis seemingly would be a fun character to play. Iron Fist is a total badass and would be a great addition too. What do you guys think? Any characters on here you wanted in or think should be booted off?

Third Strike Online coming this August with a load of sweet off/on-line features.
Third Strike Online Edition is coming out August 23-24 (psn and xbl). Trailer was released showing us what has been added to the game and it's gotten me really pumped. Features include:
- GGPO Netcode (one of the best around, shouldn't be too much complaining about online play)
- Trial mode with "hundreds" of challenges. The layout looks cool.
- # visual modes! Classic, Arcade and HD wide.
- 8-person Tournament mode
- Spectator mode (yes!)
- A vault. You earn points online and spend them to get collectables ( like artwork and probably special videos)
- Godlike replay technology. This is what has gotten me the most excited. Besides the typical viewing replays and creating history, you can live stream and upload directly to youtube! (Fingers crossed for UMVC3 to implement something this in depth)

The rumors were true...
Ultimate Mvc3 (UMVC3) will have 12 new characters, new modes and 8 new stages. It will be coming this November for $39.99 ( a bit much in my opinion). So far Strider, Firebrand, Ghost Rider, and Hawkeye have been announced , check out their videos below and the UMVC3 trailer (which shows some new moves added/altered to the old cast!)

So what do you guys think of the UMVC3 idea? Anyone seen it coming, with the usual Capcom releasing 2-3 versions of a game? I don't like the $40 pricetag, hopefully those who purchased MVC3 will have some sort of bonus...like costumes or a character or two? Atleast we will have a spectator mode, giving people more incentive for online play. X-factor in the air is a bit...much. But they were speaking of nerfing it and making the game more skill based, so we will see in time.
Anyways, the biggest deal are the new characters. None are really appealing to me. So far looks like I'll still be sticking with x-23, Wesker, Morrigan, Ryu and Magneto. Strider looks overpowered and has 2(?) lvl 3's? Firebrand's OTG capatabilites do look fun though. Still, I wish they add Son-son and Gambit to the game. Anyone on your wishlist? Leave a comment with your thoughts.
"In addition to characters, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 features a host of enhancements and new features to improve the game’s balance and online functionality. One of the biggest additions to Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is the fan-requested Spectator Mode, which allows fighters to watch live online matches together. With multiple improvements and 12 new characters, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 brings home the ultimate fighting experience for newcomers and pros alike. "

Things go horribly wrong between a group of friends...
The reverse and forward motion of the Dead Island trailer was a great one and I'm suprised thousands of parodies didn't pop up. Here's a great one upoaded by http://www.youtube.com/user/deadislandnews that parodies it with a group of gamer guys, enjoy.
Could this happen? Maybe.

E3 was cool but much didn't blow me away. What really got me wide-eyed was more info on one of my favorite franchises , the SSX series.
SSX is the Tony Hawk of Snowboarding games and has always been incredibly fun. Initially I was hyped when the new SSX: Deadly Decents was announced but a bit worried. The short trailer didn't have the same ridiculous over-the-top fun flare SSX fans are used to. Instead it had a more serious look. Luckily with the information slowly coming out of the blogs and what was shown at E3 has put a big smile on my face.
Deadly decents does look a bit more armored but the movements and gameplay still has a awesome SSX feel. What they added to the game which is a big step ahead is that they have been using maping data from NASA. "Mountain Man" takes actual lattitude and longitude data to mimic real-life mountains. Also they made a great choice by picking obscure mountains. Instead of picking the big famous ones people always go to (Like Aspen and Taho) they went big and got places in Siberia, Alaska , Himelayas and much more.
The 3 major game modes are Racing, Trick-it and Surviving. Self explanatory especially if you have played the older games. Racing is whoever gets down the mountain fastest, Trick-it is the gory of SSX, doing ridiculous flips and combos for points and surviving is surviving the mountain, avalanches and catastrophes galore.
What was interesting was they changed the control scheme a bit while keeping the old one. The old control sceme with button combinations is still intact, but they also have similiar controls from games like Skate, where you flick the thumb-stick for combos. That sounds super badass , I may be using a combo of both.
The guy also spoke about what "Deadly Decents" really is. Kind of like a boss battle? Not only do you survive through riding the mountin but theres other stuff besides riding a snowboard. Apparently there will be some survivor-man climbing and hiking type stuff. Not too clear on it really >_<
Watching the gameplay really was the best though, seeing the game and being able to tell it is going to have some of the same flare should keep every fan happy.
So SSX fans, how does all of this sound to you? Let us know in comments and check the link below for the video interview.
