The game started off as a decent way to kill some time and turned into me trying everything I could to beat my ghost.
The set up is that two DJ brothers (Bass and Treble) split up and start competing. Other than the opening the story basically disappears. Not that you need a story with this.
The game is you racing from start to finish with arrows to guide you as you follow the path up, down, forward and backward. Throw in some keys for doors that will have you backtracking. Add in obstacles such as spikes, saw blades, pools of acid, and those big smashing areas and a simple game will start challenging you. The graphics are nowhere near cutting edge but the background art is a surprising highlight on some of the levels.Read full story...

If you are following Gaige on twitter you should have seen round one of the new hype train by now.
Started about an hour ago.
Hey g*uys! Sorr#y for the lack of upd%ates lately. My ECHO com’s been on $the friTz. I thin^ some)_’s tr#4ng to h/*ck it
YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH IT’S TORGUE TIME BITCHES
THIS IS MISTER TORGUE COMIN AT YOU FROM PANDORA I HAVE TWO QUESTIONS FIRSTLY ARE YOU READY TO BLOW SOME SH*T UP AND SECONDLY HOW ARE THINGS
ARE YOU A BADASS ENOUGH BADASS TO SURVIVE “MISTER TORGUE’S CAMPAIGN OF CARNAGE”? I’M LEGIT CURIOUS CAUSE I DUNNO YOU THAT WELL #BADASSITUDE
Torgue should be a pretty familiar name by now, especially if you like blowing shit up.
So are you ready for the next round of DLC for Borderlands 2? What are you hoping for? Besides the obvious level cap increase and extra backpack space. Or more importantly are you hoping they leave stuff out?
Get ready, Vault Hunters -- Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage, the second downloadable campaign add-on for Borderlands 2, is coming your way next week!
This story-driven expansion challenges players to conquer all that the titular Mr. Torgue has waiting in his newly-constructed Badass Crater of Badassitude, complete with a new storyline, new areas and environments, new bosses, new guns, new character customizations and more. In addition, Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage features appearances from fan-favorite characters like Tiny Tina and Mad Moxxi!
Available for download on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 beginning next Tuesday, November 20, Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage is the second of four add-on campaigns announced for Borderlands 2 and will be available for $9.99 / 800 Microsoft Points by itself or as part of the Borderlands 2 Season Pass which bundles all four campaign add-ons for $29.99 / 2400 Microsoft Points.
I doubt we get to drive the big T-rex thing, but it looks crazy.
There are new Torgue vending machines that take only Torgue tokens. So we get another useless currency. You get the tokens in an arena. The vending machines are going to have legendaries and new ones even. So we'll se how that goes.
Everyone with a smart phone, tablet, of kinect has played Angry Birds at least once, now you can do it as your favorite Star Wars characters.
The app actually came out yesterday, but I forgot. So this morning when I saw it I rushed to download it before I started my day. Normally I play with the sound off but I had to hear the sound affects. And they are good enough I will leave them on as I play later.
You get a few short little Star Wars vidoes then you are off on your first adventure to Tatooine, as Luke.
Then comes a real Jedi Obi Wan using a little force push.
Play a little and you get your first bonus mission, as R2D2 using his little shock and C3PO blowing apart.
And the last level I played before shutting it off has you facing Stormtrooper pigs, one even fires a blaster.
There is a lot more to do and my inner geek is screaming to play more, but unfortunately I have stuff to do.
There is an ad free version that only costs .99 on Amazon or a free version. I played 6 levels and a bonus mission and have only seen 2 ads so far. So what are you waiting for?
Yeah I'm guessing you are skipping the summary on this one.
Have you heard of Xbox Live Rewards? If not you might want to check it out. Every month you can take a short survey (like 5 minutes max) and they offer other ways to earn Microsoft Points. The surveys are only 20 points a month, so not exactly breaking the bank.
But this month they are going big with Halo 4. The main way is by playing multiplayer. Something you were going to do anyway. At 35 hours you get 100 Microsoft points. Make it to 70 hours and you'll get 300 points. Put in 140 hours and you get 600 points. 600 Microsoft points can get you some DLC of a free game.
Sounds pretty good right? So what does it cost to join Xbox Live Rewards? Nothing at all. Just head over to the page and sign up. http://rewards.xbox.com/halo-4/

Dead or Alive came out in September, but unfortunately right after Borderlands 2. So I did try it for a few hours, but that had been it until today.
Dead or Alive has returned to the Playstaion for the first time in over a decade. And it has been since 2005 for the Xbox users. I've been a fan from the begging of the series and have enjoyed every game, except the handhelds. Naturally I was very excited to get the new one. And thanks to Gouki.com I was able to have a copy pre-ordered. Sadly when I first got it I was so hooked on Borderlands 2 I only played for a few hours. So I waited to do a review until I at least finished the story mode.
When you first jump in to story mode you get a short video of Bayman then it jumps to Zack training with the new MMA girl Mila. You enter that fight and are given a training mission. Not really what I was expecting, but I thought it would be okay. Back to Bayman and a mysterious ninja tears through his team. You get some more videos and the game is looking great as always. More videos. Then you get to a fight between Bass and Rig on the oil rig. Creative right? Another training mission. That is already old. Tutorials belong in their own section if you ask me. Another video, But then you finally get to the timeline screen and the game is ready to start. Kind of.
The timeline adds points as you make it through the story and you can go back and re-watch video or play a fight again if you missed the bonus mission. Kasumi is selected for you and you get three fights each with a bonus mission. Now I'm kind of annoyed with the missions being tacked on to the matches, And not getting to select my character sucks. Then you get a new chapter, three fights .... rinse ande repeat. The story starts to jump back and forth and you often end up on the other side of a fight that you already did. I made it up to Bass, chapter 8 I think, and then I decided to give it a rest. Playing through the story you unlock Akira and Sarah.
So when I picked it back up I was playing as Bass. Who has a very unnatural obsession with his daughter. And he comes out as a masked wrestler "Mr Strong". Still stuck in the same pattern. And it makes it hard to get familair with a character when you only get to do three fights then switch. Jan Lee wind the tournament but the story is not done. You eventually get to fight as Kasumi against Alpha-152. But the story is still not over. When you get to your final fights the character transforms as you fight. It still doesn't feel like a boss fight though. After everything is over you get a few of those this isn't over scenes so they can set up DoA 6.
As usual the levels are destructible and have areas you can knock people off, but they have added these more action sequences where the level kind of attacks you. One of the best examples is a war scene where incomming fire can hit you or your oponent when triggered. There was stuff like cars that could run you over in the last game, but they wanted it to be bigger. But I feel like it pulls you out of the game and sometimes takes takes way to long to get back to the fight.
You have your standard online and offline fights, including survival mode, arcade, time attack. And I've noticed some lag while playing offline and that bothered me. But going online some of the matches are pretty much unplayable.
You have costumes that you unlock by playing as a character in the offline modes. And of course there are DLC costumes like the one above for Hayabusa. Sadly many of them so far are just old costumes or are new but boring. Add being extremly over-priced and they get worse. The fist pack was free, but the new ones come out in groups of 3 or you can buy that weeks full bunde for $13. There are 3 of these already and the game is only a little over a month old. So if you are going for it to be complete it is going to be expensive.
I feel like the game isn't as fluid as usual, but it could just be being rusty from playing nothing but Borderlands 2. Overall you get the feeling that something is off. And it hasn't gone away. As much as I wanted to love the game I feel let down. It could just be that my expectations were to high, but I just can't give the game a buy it. If you are a huge fan you'll want it anyway, if not you will be better off renting it first.

There are some games that just scream Golden Review, and this one does it loudest.
I know I as well as most of the users of this site always look forward to seeing a new Golden Review by the one and only FnJimmy. No one can pull off a review like him. With his wealth of knowledge, top level gamer tips, and attention to detail he plays only the best games. Keeping this in mind and knowing that GoukiJones is into Dragon Ball Z I have found the perfect match.
Just imagine seeing FnJimmy do a live golden review. With Microsoft's ground breaking technology the Kinect he can become a Super Saiyan.
There are over 100 moves he can learn including the Kamehameha. Can you think of anything better than a first person fight featuring the arms of your favorite characters?
Everything about this seems like a perfect fit. There are even 50 characters to play as including the exclusive Super Saiyan Bardock. Add to that the Dragon Ball Episode of Bardock coming to the US for the first time ever as a 20 minute movie and you have an instant winner.
So now I ask how many of you would love to see that Golden review? Do you have any special requests for FnJimmy's next victim? Let's hear it.
Mysteriously large box from Gouki.com wonder what could be inside.
So I won a shirt and some swag from a giveaway here. http://gouki.com/Story/Details/gouki-pax-2012-giveaway When it showed I thought the box felt a bit heavy so I was curious about what could be inside. As I emptied out the box it just started spreading so I cleared a spot and spread it out.
As I started to arrange it my son started calling dibs on almost everything. The block head from D&D was his first victim. Then he had to have the flashlight. Everything Batman he got no contest, but was thrilled to get it. He tried for both Magic the Gathering bags, but only got away with one. But my main prize was my Borderlands 2 shirt and the surprise of NeverDead. I haven't played anything but Borderlands 2 for a bit, but NeverDead will be in the 360 waiting now.
All the prizes from here on the site have been great, but this one was surprising. Thanks again Gouki.com!

With the last game there were some special costumes and weapons, of course they are doing it again.
I know that very few of you are looking forward to this, but it's twisted enough to be fun for me. Incase you missed the first one (and the video above) Naughty is a bear who is encouraged to kill by the announcer. And changing costumes adds little boosts as you play. This DLC is going to give you horror icons like Leatherface, Pennywise, and Ghost face. They also get their signature weapons. Not sure what these will run yet though. And from the sounds of it they are planning a lot of DLC.

I won the game back in June from here and have played enough for my review.
I've got to start by saying thanks again to Gouki.com for making me Jimmy of the Month back in June and hooking me up with another great game. This time around was even better. Not only did I get the copy of Final Fantasy Tactics A2 Grimoire of the Rift for this review, but I also have a copy of Dead or Alive 5 coming.
This review has taken me forever for a few reasons. The first is that I'm not that big of a fan of the Nintendo DS, so it's my son's system I played it on. If it was on a real system this would have been done a long time ago.
If you have ever played any of the Final Fantasy Tactics games you know that they are incredible. You can spend countless hours building a clan and doing all kinds of side quests. You have a few characters that have to join your team and and endless supply of others that you can recruit if you want.
The story is that you are a kid who ends up sucked into Ivalice through a magic book. Sounds pretty familiar. He crash lands in the middle of a battle so you are forced to join the clan to survive. You have to battle your way around to fill the magic book (grimoire) to find your way back home. You encounter some odd characters as you play and there is a ton of time put on they main story. And even after you finish it you can keep going. You actually have to if you want to collect all the unique characters, such as Vann and Penelo. And in the above picture you see the Seeq from Final Fantasy 12 I think and they are playable for the first time. The Gria are entirely new.
And if you have never played any of the Tactics games I should tell you it's a turn based RPG and you move across grids, think checkers. The stages you play in aren't exactly ground breaking but the are rendered pretty nicely. The music is also pretty standard and repetitive. There is no voice acting so be ready for a lot of reading, or skipping text if that's your thing. I've put in over 40 hours at this point and am still running around doing side quests so I'm not let down at all by the game.
And my son loved the bonus.
They say it's an "Adventure Project" for BlazBlue
The video is in Japanese so it does't make much sense. And I see no action. But there is a translation posted to their facebook page.
Brand new trailer for X-Blaze, the BlazBlue 'Adventure Project' is here! We've taken the liberty of translating some of the trailer voice and text for you below - although we're struggling with the character names at the moment. Adventure Project Number 1
Original Idea Mori
Scenario from 'SATZ'
New Story from the beginning of the Azure.
What on earth are you?
Stop it I don't want to see anyone hurt.
I'm sorry, but now I know I can't leave it like that.
BLUE GIRL (ES?)
It's an order and I've been asked to protect you.
It's okay, we'll just browse the shops.
I'm happy as long as we can all have fun together.
The answer is 'no'.
Do you even understand what you're saying.
Die like man.
There's no way someone like you could understand what I'm thinking.
What's going on?!
Power of the Azure
Blood Clears everything up right? Still no clue. But it says BlazBlue Adventure so my mind is running wild with scenarios where it is an action game. So I'll be looking forward to finding out what's going on.
