Mixed Emotions and mixed feelings is ALL Crysis 2 has to offer. One moment you're absolutely loving it and then you're saying out loud that you will never play again. Ametuers man. Poor matchmaking, terrible party system and unexplainable glitches.
You would think a publisher like EA would know how to put out a proper multiplayer experience right? They act like they don't give a shit. Crytek can only be responsible for so much. Although, Crytek could have definitely built a better party and matchmaking system. It's bad enough that a lot of these features are a copy of Call of Duty games, but to have the mulitplayer separate parties, boot players at random and straight up fatal error my Xbox is a little ridiculous. Where is the testing? What I want to see is more beta tests, longer beta tests if you're just going to let the community test it once it's released anyway. Where are the patches? The game has been out for a couple of weeks now and still nothing. The screen flips out when you zoom in at the beginning of a game on the map Liberty Island. Why is this? Can anybody explain this? At the beginning of that map, all of my team mates are reminding each other to zoom in and out a couple of times so it doesn't happen while you are in combat.
Crysis 2 Screen Glitch on Liberty Island
So that's a lot of the hate there, the matchmaking. The fact that I've been in the game for 32 hours and have actually only played in matchmaking 15 hours! Wow! That means, I've been in the menus for more than twice as long as I've actually played the game. Regardless of these issues, when you actually get into games and all of your friends are on the same team, the Crysis 2 is a lot of fun.
Crysis 2 has some of the best multiplayer maps in years. No other game comes to mind, when I really think about maps. Maybe Halo 2, but that's way old Jimmy. Liberty Island -the level I mention earlier with the glitch- is probably my favorite multiplayer map in years. The Liberty Island map is very well crafted. The two bases are spread perfectly apart, the medic tent site is great to sneak through, oh and the dead bodies laid out in body bags are hilarious when you are running over them. It got real bad real quick on this map and it is the best map in the game.
Ranking up in Crysis 2 and getting new perks is no different from what you've seen in the Call of Duty series. This is a straight up copy of COD. I'm not sure why they did it like this and I'm not saying it's bad, but I want to know why a completely different company couldn't have come up with something a little more original. Crytek is supposed to be this great game making company. And please don't say this is their first multiplayer game, that's not good enough. You can even prestige in Crysis 2, c'mon.
The last thing I want to do is start all over with my guns. I'm just now getting to level 30 and starting to like how I can build my custom classes. Early on in multiplayer, when you have no guns and no perks, you're getting railed constantly and it is ZERO fun. This was always one of my major issues with COD. You really have to put time in to Crysis 2 if you want to get to the fun stuff in the multiplayer. Look at me, it only took 32 hours of it actually being on for me to start enjoying it.
I wrote everything above a few days ago. I've continued to play the Crysis 2 and my emotions continued to rise and fall. Until finally last night. I'm terrible at the death match and they may be my fault. I'm good during flag matches and enjoy that much more. It's bad enough to lose a few matches in a row or feel like your constantly getting railed in the ass and there is nothing you can do about it. But then when it kicks you out of games or Migrates Host and ends up putting your party into to separate games and you don't even realize until you team starts talking about two different maps. Last night I vowed to never put the Crysis 2 back into my Console.
Flush it! Just like when you Jimmys try to get all Greg Luoganis and swim around the levels where you can't pull your gun out. Crysis 2 is Dead in the Water.
Lots of news on Duke Nukem Forever's Muliplayer Game Modes and Weapons/Abilities! !
(Above is a leaked photo of a deathmatch in DNF from xbox magazine, reminds me of Toy Story. This may be the result of the Shrinker Gun)
In Duke Nukem Forever you don't play boring Capture the Flag, you play CAPTURE THE BABE! No screenshots of this babe capturing yet, but in this multiplayer game mode you run around carrying ladies. But from being carried, the "babe" apparently freaks out a bit, so you have to give her a slap on the butt to calm...her down? Not much details on it, so feel free to speculate! Maybe if you go too long without these reasurring slaps, she wiggles away or something, I'm interested to see what other twists will come a long in Duke Nuken Forever.
Game Modes- . Dukematch and TeamDukeMatch are both deathmatch oriented games. Hail to the King is King of the Hill type of gameplay. All game modes are 8 players, 4v4. And the "Capture the Babe" stated above.
Weapons- will be pistol, shotgun, ripper chaingun, pipebomb, rpg, shrinker, railgun, freezer, devastator and tripbomb. Also you can only carry two primary weapons at once in addition to having pipebombs and tripbombs. Also JETPACKS SON! only in multiplayer, not single...O_O
Customization - characters can get points by getting kills and achivements, also bonus points for "funny kills" (like pipe-bomb suicide) As expected, every shooter has a lvling system now a days, going to be interesting finding out what unlcocks Duke will have.
Awesome powerups- Steroids let Duke do 1 hit kill punches, run faster but cant use guns, leaves him immune to shrinker. Shrinker turns people into Mini-Duke, only do 10% of dmg. And HoloDuke allows him to be cloaked and do cool melee kills.
Do you like 4v4 game types and the idea of carrying babes? Does "Duke Sauce" sound delicious? Leave a comment below with your ideas and thoughts. I wasn't too interested until now, the MP sounds extremely fun. Don't be a Jimmy.
Typical Bioware ... turning 1 of their games into an MMO. Okay maybe Mass Effect 3 isn't quite the MMO co-op multiplayer experience SOME of you may want, but here it is. Different classes and races, your choices affect main story, and play with friends.

Cliffy B just couldn't resist putting his face in one of those cool Bulletstorm videos. Demo date confirmed through Twitter. And finally the word on multiplayer and it's not what you would expect.
Bulletstorm demo date confirmed via @danacowley on twitter yesterday. January 25, 2011. We're gonna get the Echoes mode which is, campaign levels that you play solo and compete for high scores against your friends. I'm a little disappointed if I won't be able to experience some of the co-op. Either way though, I will be playing the demo and playing the shit out of it hopefully. Bulletstorm looks like a TON of fun.
In a new Bulletstorm video posted, not included in the Bulletstorm preview I just wrote two days ago.
Bulletstorm Weapons and Anarchy mode - Cliffy B jumps in to take up Tanya Jessen screen time. Sad face. So Cliffy B is all up this video talking about the weapons. I'm exciting about the weapons. I'd be more excited if Tanya Jessen was telling me about them more. Remember that feeling you got throwing the Perfect Dark suitcase gun up against the wall as a turret? Bulletstorm has me interesting in seeing what I can do with their weapons. They all have some very cool concepts and secondary functionalities. The main premise of the game is to just fuck up as much shit as possible at a time and see who can score the most points.
So now we know, there is nothing traditional about the Bulletstorm multiplayer. There's PvP, but it's only for points. I don't think you will even be playing at the same time. Something similar to racing against your friends times on NFSHP. This is great, for that you can compete with your friends and you don't have to be online at the same time. I just don't think it will have much replay value. The hardcore Gears Jimmys are gonna be screaming that there isn't traditional multiplayer, but that is just not the style of Bulletstorm. Wait for Gears of War 3 ya Jimmy.
And finally I leave you with yet another video about Bulletstorm. Epic has been blowing it out with the promotions and they are all great. Make sure you check out and subscribe to the Epic Games YouTube Channel.

Cliffy B and a bunch of other Jimmy's on the Bstorm site explain how having pvp in Bulletstorm would ruin the game and wouldn't be fair, or if you take out those ridiculous elements that "it wouldn't be Bulletstorm anymore". How about go fuck yourselves?
Bulletstorm doesn't have pvp, plain and simple. Members on Bulletstorm site a long with CliffyB say things like "It wouldn't be fun if you got leashed or hit with a flail gun, if we take those things out it wouldn't be Bulletstorm, it would lose its flare" blah blah blah. No, I got great fucking ideas on how you dick tits could make a excellent PVP segment and still be Bulletstorm.
Okay douche bags, plenty of weapons can still be used. The only restriction is CHARGED SHOTS, since they are overkill and alter bodies of enemies. The one charged shot that can be kept is the bouncer, as long as damage is sincerely nerfed. Weapons in general that can be used are bouncer, flail gun (the npc use it on us in single player, how about making the ammo capacity and damage lower and adding it to MP, or not at all, minor loss), Carbine, the pistol, sniper rifle (WITHOUT the controlled bullet, lol), that huge screw thing (with considerate damage nerf, keeping it as a long range weapon), and the boneduster is fine the way it is. This weapon set is already good enough, on top of that the Minigun could probably be some sort of rare spawn, or purchased with a RIDICULOUS amount of skill points (which I will explain how to integrate later).
BOOT AND LEASH MECHANICS /DROPKITS(or not)-
Big complaint is that leash and boot won't fit into pvp, wrong broseph, it can. In almost any shooter what do we have when we are low on ammo or close range? Melee. The boot would hit like a melee attack plain and simple. Also in single player there are plenty of explosive barrels and shit to kick around, why not have it in MP? Of course it won't explode the enemy into pieces, but just cause a considerable amount of splash damage. The Leash could be used in two ways. 1 way is to get creative with how you use barrels and other movable shit like dropped weapons for ammo (just like in single player) a second way is drop kits. Every game-mode of Bstorm has a form drop kits as a reward. I say they should be scattered around the MP maps, and you will have points based on your kills, allowing you to get more ammo or whatever. Also obviously no Thumper would be allowed.
HOW THE MAPS AND PLAYERS WORK-
Don't have to be that big. 10 man FFA or 5v5 TDM would be fine ( or more like a real shooter would be cool too) The co-op online maps are tiny pansy arenas, of course we would need something a little more open. Which shouldn't be hard, the single player has many of areas with hills, staircases and plenty of room to roam around and find cover. Also we should be able to integrate our custom characters from Anarchy to this mode (no brainer). The run function is fine and so is the sliding, damn sliding under a bridge while other people are shooting at you would be bad ass nice.
So yea, this has been on my mind for a bit and it does seem reasonable while still keeping the specialness of Bulletstorm. I don't know why they made a AMAZING game (gameplay wise and graphics AND content wise) but gave it almost no replay value, not even campaign co-op or ANY form of split screen. On top of that, the netcode for online co-op is worse than KOF 12, yea, that bad, or at least it is for every PS3 user.. Got a weird feeling some sort of douchey expensive PVP dlc could come out in months... or not and they will continue reh-tarded anarchy/echo/leash dlc. Tell me what you guys think, please feel free to add on any ideas, I'd love to see what you guys can come up with. Don't be a jimmy.

Uncharted 3 Multiplayer has some very unique features, like nothing in any other game to date. Once again NaughtyDog may revolutionize gaming. Also a How To get in the exclusive Beta in June.
Let the groin kicking begin. Sony and Naughty Dog have released a ton of new information for Uncharted 3 Drake's Deception today. It's all about the Multiplayer. A little background here, I played the multiplayer for Uncharted 2, twice and didn't like one second of it. It seemed like something just put together real quick, so they could say they had a multiplayer. This goes in line with other games that have added multiplayer, even though the game didn't need it all, the Nubs demanded it. Bioshock 2 is a classic example of a game that didn't need multiplayer.
Uncharted 3 wants to show you something completely different.
UNCHARTED 3: Drake's Deception- Multiplayer Trailer
Bonus for the music selection. Great song for a great video. Not enough sound from the game is the only issue here. But I'm sure it sounds great. There's ton of explosions and a lot of action on screen, something the PS3 does so well. It's unfortunate very few developers know what to do with the PlayStation. Some of the new Uncharted 2 deatures like the Medal Perks sound like a cool idea:
You have to option to select a specific Medal Kickback, which activates when you’ve racked up the required number of Medals for that specific Kickback. You can see this in the Multiplayer Trailer when the RPG Kickback is activated at 00:50 into the video. You’re taking a little chance when you select these, as some really choice Kickbacks require you to get a significant number of Medals before you can activate them.
So with your typical loadout selection, main weapon, side arm, perks and bonuses, you will also select something for medal kickbacks. The cooler the shit, the more medals you gotta collect. The vertical levels of Uncharted seem to be way more invloved with this multiplayer version, you can see in a few clips, Jimmys getting grabbed and thrown off buildings. It's gonna be sweet if it's a smooth motion of climbing and running. Hardcore Parkour Jimmy! No game has successfully done that yet. We're all waiting to see what happens with Brink, because Crysis 2 Multiplayer sucks.
Some of the game types seemed to be outside of the box. Some of the map desgin is certainly something you've never seen before. Power Plays change the end of the game and sudden death in Uncharted 2 is one of the most exciting things from all of the news today.
If matches are too close to call as they get close to the end, Overtime will activate, giving either time an opportunity to win the match by more than one point within a limited time. If the game is still too close to call, the match enters Sudden Death. Sudden Death is similar to Elimination – there are no respawns and the last player standing wins the match for their team.
That sounds awesome right? A winner will be decided by the last man standing. I wish other games had done this. As far map design, on the airstrip, one team starts on a plane going down the runway and the other team starts on a bunch of trucks chasing after the plane, you can see that in the video too and it is just bananas.
Now lemme go back and talk about the games types. I've watched this trailer like 4 times now and yes, the song is a quite addicting, but I really wanna test this game out too. Three team deathmatch, vintage Halo Multi-teamesque, but 2v2v2. Free for all, which is classic FFA. These two game types will be available on the beta. More info on game types and other features for Uncharted 3 (Including the sad face social networking experience) will be released at a later date.
Want to play the Uncharted 3 Drake's Deception multiplayer beta? There's only two ways to get in as of right now. Be a member of Playstation Plus and get early access to the beta or purchase a copy of Infamous 2. The beta starts on begins WORLDWIDE on June 28, 2011.

It's a free downloadable game for your computer about the speeder bike part of Tron
Find downloads on the side bar and choose which version to download depending on your computer.
It's got online multiplayer, it's customizable, and you can host your own server, all for free. It's a simple game so it has a very quick download and small file size too.
The premise is everyone has a speeder bike. The game is a few years old and was based on the first Tron movie so the bikes move on 90 degree turns (except not on all servers). In the most basic mode, everyone is just trying to kill each other by outmanuevering opponents and forcing opponents to run into a wall. There are other modes such as fortress where you try to capture the enemies base by occupying it while you or your teammates defend your own base. There are a variety of other modes such as capture the flag or races because all the content is user created.
There you have it. It's free downloadable game so try it out if you want.
Crysis 2 6 on 6 multiplayer demo is dropping in on the 25th of Jan, same day as the Bulletstorm demo. Check out the new trailer!
Crysis 2 is looking bad ass. Some of the sweetest multiplayer changes I've seen to date. Sliding into cars and knocking them over for cover, climbing over obstacles to slam down on enemies. Ok so maybe it's been done before, but Crysis 2 makes it look damn good.
After watching the trailer I'm stoked to get my hands on this demo. Looks like a lot of fun. According to a recent press release, the Crysis 2 MP demo will include the "Skyline" map, and two game modes: "Team Instant Action" - AKA Team Deathmatch - and "Crash Site" - AKA Crysis 2's take on territories

This kinda just came outta no where on my YouTube Subs list. GamestopVideo posted this F.E.A.R 3 Multiplayer trailer. If this doesn't prove to you that this gen on consoles is dead, I don't know what will. Developers have just given up.
Read the summary for my entire take on F.E.A.R. 3.
