Gouki.com stopped by the PDP $21,000 Mortal Kombat tournament in Las Vegas. Here's a few pictures and my thoughts on what I saw.
If you were at home today watching the TeamSpooky stream live, you had the best seat in the house. Otherwise you didn't really need to be there. There was nobody hosting the event, so you had to listen to the guy scream out names from the announcer desk. TeamSpooky was there doing a great live stream and commentary, but you couldn't hear the Team Spooky commentary in the ballroom. The lights didn't need to be so bright on the stage either, I mean, it was a giant projection screen. I'm getting old, it's hard to see.
We saw Justin Wong and team EG there. Played some Mortal Kombat on some old school/modern arcade cabinets. That means, it was fight stick built into an arcade cabinet apparatus and it is bad ass. We got to demo the new Mortal Kombat Klassic fight stick, which is going to come with 3 Mortal Kombat games. We also saw these sweet Marvel VS Capcom 3 fight pads. $90! on Amazon.
