iPhone 4 vs XBox 360 and Playstation.

By: PapaBear420 Oct 4, 2010 | 8 Comments

iPhone 4 a new way of gaming.

Hey what's up Gouki fam. I haven't played XBox much these days. I mean don't get me wrong the new Halo Reach is cool and all but everything is starting to seem like the same crap over and over again with just new boards. I don't mind dropping 60 or 70 dollars on a game but shit give me something new. More than just 5 new boards and some crappy mission that after a few bong hits I'm going to forget about anyway. Side note if you play a game beat it and then a few months later play it again because it was just so cool. Well, your a douche nozzle, I mean no offence, but.....your still a douche nozzle (that means you are not the bag but just the stick, and that's gross). I'm sure you can find something better to do with your time then get pissed at Mission 2 Level 3 all over again, YOU FUCKING POOP STICK..But again I mean no offence. You didn't see the US saying "hey we should do that Mexican-American war thing again". Oh wait they are kind of, you know with the whole wall thing and all. Bad example, but you know what I mean.

Anyway what was I talking about, oh yea the iPhone 4. I love this thing, you can get games for 99 cents most of the time and they can keep you busy for hours. Granted I smoke and one time stared at light socket for 15 minutes and thought wow they look like happy faces saying "oooooo". Go look, they do. Oh yea back to the phone. The thing about the iPhone and even the Droid is that you can take these on the go and have fun playing them. There's like 200000 games to choose from. Granted you can't take them to Game Stop and get credit for them, but with GameStop exchange rate you'll walk out owing them money. (GAMESTOP ARE ASSMONKEYS!! DIRTY DIRTY ASSMONKEYS!!) no offence to any monkeys out there. Unless your are an assmonkey then you should be very offended. It's portable gaming people, you can play a game on the crapper check your email and youjizz.com all at the same time. Thank you multitasking :). Granted it does have its faults like when my wife told me to say hi to her mother while on face chat and I was on the toilet. Don't judge me I make all my calls from the bathroom, great acoustics but a very weird moment for us both.

I know it these shitty little games don't compare to Halo or Call of Duty by any means but you can only play that crap so much. You can play Angry Birds or Enigmo anywhere and even use your iPod at the same time. There's even a app that can change your voice during a phone call. A huge stalker favorite.  So put down your controller and pick up your phone there some cool games in your app store, and you can go out and see boobies that aren't virtual.

Released in 1993, the original X-COM is regarded as one of the best games ever made and has been reimagined as XCOM: Enemy Unknown by the strategy experts at Firaxis Games. XCOM: Enemy Unknown will expand on the X-COM legacy with an entirely new story, enemies and technologies to fight hostile aliens and defend Earth. In XCOM: Enemy Unknown, players will oversee combat strategies and individual unit tactics as well as base management and resource allocation as commander of a secret global military organization, XCOM. With equal emphasis on deep strategy and intense tactical combat, XCOM: Enemy Unknown will allow gamers to control the fate of the human race by defending against a terrifying global alien invasion.

New inFAMOUS 2 gameplay video Quest for Power

By: goukijones Apr 11, 2011 | 4 Comments

inFAMOUS 2 is probably the most hype I am for a PS3 game. I didn't play the first one much and I'm not looking forward to ANOTHER Uncharted that much. Only problem here is, this game is coming our during the E3 Black Out.

I am going to beat the shit out of this game. Probably after it goes on sale.

2011 Jimmy Gems: Best Original Game Nominees

By: goukijones Dec 19, 2011 | 6 Comments

There were a few games this year that introduced new ideas to the video game world. Here are our favorites.

Anomaly Warzone Earth

GoukiJones says: I'm a big strategy gamer dude and when I heard the premise of Anomaly Warzone Earth, I knew I had to have a go. I played the shit out of this game for 3 days straight. Anomaly is a reverse tower defense game, so you control and upgrade the vehicles trying to get through the maze.

BatRastered says: Reverse tower defense... something new I guess. It looked cool from what I saw on GoukiJones' screen. Not my type of game, but original, yes.

Bastion

GoukiJones says: The humor and commentary all through out the game, make Bastion fun and entertaining. The constant commentary is definitely something original and you'll get a few good laughs for sure.

BatRastered says: Yeah, the design and commentary were original, but it seemed like a fairly normal game underneath that. Still, props for doing something different.

Sanctum

GoukiJones says: Here we go again with another Steam strategy game. Another game -when I got my hands on it- I didn't stop playing for 3 days straight. Sanctum is a building, strategy, FPS. My absolute 3 favorite things in gaming. You have to check out Sanctum.

BatRastered says: Moving into the tower defense in first person looked cool. I'd like to see some more advanced shooting though, what I saw looked very basic.

Shadows of the Damned Pre-Order isn't as crazy as you may think

By: iorilamia May 11, 2011 | 6 Comments

Crazy games usually have crazy pre-order deals right? Not this time. But two great composers coming together sounds promising.

Shadows of the Damned, the upcoming psycho-train game from Suda51 and Mikami. Pre-order deals have been announced but it feels a bit lacking. Pre-ordering from Amazon, EA or Gamestop gets you a CD with 12 tracks from the game. Cool right? Well you don't get a physical CD...it's digital download. That part kind of set me off, actually receiving a CD feels so much better, but I guess going digital saves them a lot of money. If you enjoyed the music of silent hill, Akira Yamaoka also helped put this Original Soundtrack together, working a long side with the band "The Damned"

Here's the track listings:

1. Theme of Shadows of the Damned (featuring the English gothic punk band, The Damned)
2. Shedding Stars
3. Walk if Off
4. Last Stop, Windows Up
5. This Way Comes
6. Fathomer
7. Smile for a Broken Dawn
8. Showdown at High Moon
9. Cold Turkey
10. Broken Bones, Broken Promises
11. Dropped Off Between Stops
12. Clawing at the Veil

A little History. The Damned are a British punk rock band from the 70's. Apparently the first punk rock band in the UK to hit top music charts and then tour in America. That's cool and all but the best part is how badass nice the lead singer, Dave Vanian, looks.

How does receiving a digital CD feel towards a real one? Limitation's are sort of a bummer. Is this enough to make you pre-order a game that only has a few trailers? Or knowing the masterminds behind it make that ok? Tell us what you think in comments below, don't be a jimmy.
